Stone Tooth Tavern

as korlash stared at crovax crovax camlywalkedin showing no sign of fear. he had vowed to stop using the sword after the night that ended in him being exiled from his family his freinds. but now this elf who he knew but could not put his finger on his name or why he felt the need to fight for him. but the fire of what was going to happen started to take over he slowly started to draw his sword it all started to come back to him his senses seamed higtened as the sword was un-sheathed.

"two on one" he said with a voice that sounded like him but he wasnt sure "ill help even these odds"

the blade was slightly out at his side the tip just brushing the ground. he had made his move even to the supise of himself he didnt know how they would react but he had some pent up anger to relese and he finaly had a chance to do it

The dark elf spotted the Orc and calmly stepped out of the room before wedging some stained carpet under the door to prevent the orc exiting. He turned, wondering to himself why the room he had paid for earlier was occupied with a large Orc. As he turned, he heard heated talking in a room opposite and ran in to see another dark elf and a human. He assesed the situation and started to weave a sheild around himself before preparing an aggresive burst of magic on the two tavern workers.

Feanor entered the tavern laughing to himself. By the time he had got to the bar he had decided he would get a room and stay the night in this delightfull place. he asked the tavern owner for a beer he took a sip and asked for a room. the tavern owner laughed to himself and said
' something must be up, i havn't had this much business in months all my rooms but 2 are full il give you one of the rooms at the end' as he handed over the keys feanor slid some coins for his room and beer over to the tavern owner as well as a tip as this seemed like a very nice gentleman and it is always good to have a tavern owner on your side. he walked upstairs only to find his room occupied not only by one person but four. two of the taverns men looking slightly worried at the appearance of feanor, and some people he recognized from somewhere but not quite remembering where. as he was sure he knew them from somewhere he thought so much for getting on the tavern owners good side and he took out an elegantly curved sword from his back and said to the tavern men
'care to tell me why you are trying to have a fight in my room? i don't have any trouble with them being here but i am planning on sleeping here so if its all the same to you i will do without the blood' and with that he walked slowly into the room sword still drawn.

'what the hell is going on?'

'never mind' korlash thought as he could see that the entrances of all these characters had confused the tavern employees as much as it did him. throughout the various dialouge the tavern staff had become a little disheartened that the other two staff backup had not yet arrived to deal with theese hostiles. they were apparently tied up with the other room.

'now lets see where allegiances lie' he thought to himself.

with long range combat out of the question he had two options, risk drawing attention to himself unseathing his knife or to lash out with whatever he found under the bed.

he knew which one he would prefer.

he fell to his knees and pulled out the oubject from under the bed.
it seemed to be a replacement leg for the bed.

'never mind' 'it is good enough for battering with' he sighed

twisting his whole bodyweight along with the wooden beam he slammed it into the closest of the tavern guards legs.

with the first blow made crovax to delight in crouching into a position he could easily pounce from.
he took one look up and saw one of the men looking at the other being hit and pounced into action

The two others start to cross the hallway, suddenly finding themselves amidst many more people then was there before, they skid to a stop in total confusion as to what was going on or who was a threat.

The rouster inside the room quickly tries to avoid the peice of wood while the second, the only one that seems to have bothered to try and recover, runs to tackle the dark elf.

The one rouster finds himself howling in pain, laying flat on his back as the make shift club bludgeoning through his legs.

(Korlash, I need you to roll a 1d6 for damage with the bed leg, and 1d20 to avoid being tackled.)

Reaching for the door to step out and confront this stranger when a sudden clash of sounds and a yell catches Darians attention. Hestitating only a moment, he flings open the and rushes out into the corridor, staff in hand. Sprinting down the hall, he stops in the midst of the group, belatedly thinking of how stupid this move was, and spans the hall with his staff trying to spread everyone away from one another. "Let's get a grip people, lets figure out what is going on here before we all start doing things we just might regret" He calls out in a raised voice. His attention is then diverted by a loud banging coming from one of the doors up the hall.

Kodiak follows Darian and giving him support ,along with Kristo at is heels.Taking all that is around him with sword at the ready if defense is needed. He tries not to be too threatening or we'll never get to the bottom of this mess.

"What's going on here? Can't a guy have a meal and some rest?"

Kodiak too glances at the sound down the hall and can't believe his ears. Incredubally, rolls his eyes and puts his back to Darian to defend Darian from behind.

"It's your call dark elf, say your peace" he shouts back into the room Darian is facing. Hoping to bring one issue to a close before having to address a second issue.

feeling a satisfying thud as the wooden beam hit the rousters leg he had another immidiate problem as the other seemed to want to take him down as quickly as possible. he feared his reaction may be too late

Feanor turned to confront the new ememies and while they were eyeing up the others in the room took a swipe at the nearest rouster.

The Dark Elf Turns on his heal in the midst of the battle towards the loud noise. Realising it is the Orc trying to break out of the room he looks to the make-shift wedge, it is slipping. He turns and is about to run before he notices the note in the Sylvan elfs belt and goes to grab it before making his escape...

Seeing the mage from earlier that morning out in the hallway and hearing something very loud on the otherside to the door. He made contact with the mage's eyes and saw his eyes go to the note at Darian's belt.

"Hold on there mage. Not so fast. First you pop up with your magic this morning out of the blue, quite literally as if we were your enemy. Now I hear troublsome sounds and you reappear in the midst of it. What am I to think? If you want that note which you so carelessly dropped, I suggest you ask for it, not grab it. You would have to go through me first otherwise."

"Let's get this place calmed down and talk"

"My job here is not yet finished, i must have that note" Replies the dark elf "let me past and then i will talk". Although the elf has no spells memorised at the time he is readying himself to use his staff if needs be.

"I have no reason to quarrel with you, that I know of at least", he smerks. "What's this all about? And make it the short version for the moment, things are tense around here at the moment." Eyeing both directions quickly. "Do not expect us to just hand the note over, not knowing if it could bring us harm or not, plus I like a little curtesy thrown in."

"Let's see if we can deal with these rousters at all. Darian I'm thinking to offer these guys some coins to forget about the whole matter so we can get down to the bottom of this and figure out what these guys are up to"

With a grin at Kodiaks suggestion, he is thankful for a possible way out of all hell breaking loose "10 gold to whoever can calm down whatever is trying to come out of that room".

The second rouster in the room goes barreling to the floor as Korlash easily sidesteps him, the first rolling in pain holding his leg.

In the hall, Feanor has managed to get the full attention of the one rouster by planting his fist squarly in his jaw, rocking him on his heels. The other has lost interest in the fighting at the mention of gold and start contemplating the possibities.
